Yes, we can remotely repair and service MAC and Linux based computers as well as Windows.
Some repairs can be completed literally within minutes, however a full service can take hours to complete as we perform a disk scan, defrag, virus scan, windows update, third party software updates e.g. Microsoft Office, Adobe, Java and crucial driver updates. However if we are resolving a particular issue this can depend on the severity of the problem. The engineer is able to give you an estimated timescale for each issue raised.

No, there’s no need to turn off any of your security software such as firewalls and antivirus during the remote diagnosis and repair service.

No. You would have to submit a support request and actively initiate the connection which allows the engineer to log on and carry out the remote computer repairs, service or diagnostics that your request detailed.
Yes, both our Instant Repair and 12 month Support contracts cover free antivirus removal, but you should first do a quick Google search for “Hoax” plus the name of the virus your friend ‘warned’ you about. There are a lot of scary warning emails circulating but a lot are hoaxes.
